Last night’s dream: I was coming into possession (but see below) of a big mansion somewhere. It wasn’t explicitly in Pittsburgh, nor explicitly not, but a number of waking-life friends dropped in for a party. Not every person in the dream was someone I know in waking life.
There were four floors. I was showing the place off to visitors.
One feature I remember was a large patio facing the back yard on which there was, absurdly, a bathtub. It had a roof over it, but was open to the outdoors on the sides. It was explicitly intended as a bathtub, not a hot tub. There was privacy in the back yard, though.
In one big room on the lower floor I had a classic video arcade. Among the machines was Galaga, but it was some mutant Galaga with boss fights, which I found very difficult and frustrating to play.
As I said, a party was in progress. I saw A———, which I found puzzling because we no longer speak in waking life. We did not interact, though; just looked at each other. I also saw B———, which actively annoyed me, and I asked C——— in some irritation what the hell B——— was doing there, because I somehow thought they would know. I don’t recall the reply.
There was a guy present in his late 50s, early 60s. He was apparently the previous owner of the house. I had to accomplish some task in a set of seven — seven riddles, seven puzzles, something — to come into full possession of the house. I don’t remember what they were precisely, but I have a vague recollection that I accomplished something, and when I did, the previous owner pointed out that the thing in question had seven parts to it, and I had won. He and everyone else present congratulated me; there was much merriment, and I woke up.
